A calm, offline-first way to learn and remember vocabulary.
ZenRecall is a vocabulary and flashcard learning app for Android and iOS. Build your own decks of words, then practice them your way — with flashcards, spelling drills, and quizzes — while tracking your progress over time. Everything works fully offline: your words live on your device, not on a server.
No ads. No account required. No tracking. Just a fast, focused way to learn and remember words.

This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
All your decks and flashcards are stored locally on your device in a private database. This data is not sent to any server operated by us. We do not run a backend server.
If you choose to sign in with Google and use the backup/restore feature, the app uploads a single backup file containing your decks and cards to a hidden, app-private folder in your own Google Drive account (Google's "appdata" space). This folder is not visible in your regular Drive file list and is only accessible by ZenRecall. We do not have access to this data ourselves — it is stored in your Google account under your control. You can revoke access at any time via your Google Account permissions page.
You can also export your decks and cards to a file saved on your device, and import one back in later — no sign-in required. This works fully offline; the file only goes wherever you choose to save it, and never passes through our servers.
The app requests internet access solely to perform the optional Google Drive backup/restore described above. Exporting or importing a local backup file works entirely offline and needs no internet permission.
ZenRecall does not knowingly collect data from children. The app does not collect personal data beyond what is described above.
